The site has been designed to help you plan your next steps in education and work based learning. It has a number of features that will help identify the right course and career path for you. The site has the following sections:

Course Search

If you have an idea of the kind of course you want to do, you can do a course search.

If you are looking for a post-16 course, you can perform a general keyword search to identify the kinds of courses you can do. Alternatively, if you have a good idea of what you are looking for, you can search by location, sector, job title and qualification level to find out what your ideal course is and where you can do it.

If you are under 16 and looking at course options, you can search by choosing your own school and clicking the ‘Aged 14-16 only courses’ box.

Provider/Location Search

You can search for details of schools, colleges, universities and training providers in your local area or the whole of the West Midlands region.

Progression Maps

A Progression Map will show you how all the jobs in an employment sector fit together and what qualifications you will need to plot a career through the sector.

You can also enter the qualifications that you have, or hope to get, to give you a Personal Progression Route. This will match your skills to possible careers so that you can work out your next steps
